Stress Less Day
Worklink’s annual Stress Less Day is held each year during Queensland Mental Health Week, this year into its 19th birthday. The lunch increases awareness of mental health and helps to reduce the stigma experienced by people who live with a mental illness. Past years we were thrilled to have Shane Jacobson along to the event. Shane was extremely generous with his time and spirit and reminded us all that a good laugh is often an excellent tonic. Another highlight was Kurt Fearnley, an inspiring Para-Olympian and human. The day is always a reminder that others in the community might be doing it a little tougher and its actually pretty easy to make a difference just by checking in with people and asking if they are “ok”.
Worklink delivers the Stress Less Lunch to help make this difference and to ask the greater community what they are doing to ask people if they are “ok”. This year, 2021, we will be expanding to include a hospitality/tourism night and a tradies breakfast, because stressing less doesn’t just happen at lunch! Contact us for details about how you can be a part of this great event.
We need your help…
While we are a government funded, non-profit community business, we also need the help of the community to deliver our important services.
